Chino Valley Leads the Way!!!

From the EAST

John Ehrlich Kiley

Dear Brethren,

Welcome to March and the start of a new natural season. Spring brings us the start of new a growth, revitalization of previous development and the start of continued progress in our search for spiritual and physical wellbeing. Our members are no less susceptible to these forces of nature. We travel through our Masonic journey constantly growing, learning, and exploring our surroundings. We share with others that which we learn and help those around us understand those lessons. We bring others into the fraternity and guide them as they begin and continue their journey. We should not take this responsibility lightly or let these opportunities pass us by.

First, I would like to congratulate Brother Rev. Brent Quines Jr. for his outstanding delivery of the 3rd Degree obligation, and Brother Paul Klinefelter for his delivery of the 1st Degree Obligation. I would like to keep encouraging all Master Masons that have not yet returned their 3rd Degree obligations to do so.
Secondly, I would also like to congratulate Brethren Perry Yodong and Jerry Malona for their advancement to the FellowCraft Degree, we are looking forward to confer upon all our Fellow Crafts to the sublime degree of Master Mason in the future. Our Senior Warden, Anthony Wesley Baguiwet, did a great job in the East, as well as the rest of the officers. Our brother, Mathew Bangsoy, did an outstanding job in delivering the 1st Degree charge for his first time.

We were dark on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, giving the brethren a break to be with their loved ones that evening.

Lodge Officers, together with our Officer’s Coach had rehearsed the 1st Degree ritual last February 17th, 2023 to be ready for our upcoming 1st Degree Conferral of Mr. Rodjade Duran Penaverde scheduled on March 1st, 2023 at 7:30pm.

On the same day, our Inspector WB Richard “Rick” Geyer also reviewed and checked both the Lodge, and Hall books and records and everything were completed before the set deadline.

The Fundraising Committee are also ready to set off our Annual Charity Golf Tournament scheduled on April 15th , 2023. More details to follow on this event will be reported by our Fundraising Committee on our March Stated Meeting.

Lastly, The month of March is also our Youth Orders month during which members and lodges are encouraged to reach out to youth organizations such as DeMolay International, Jobs Daughter International, and the International Order of Rainbow Girls.

DeMolay International was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1919. It’s an organization for young men ages 12 to 21. Job’s Daughters International was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1920 and is an organization for young women ages 10 to 20. The International Order of Rainbow Girls was founded in McAlester, Oklahoma in 1922 and is for young women ages 10 to 21.

All three Masonic Youth Orders have their own leadership structure, chapters, and values. They also represent Masonic values in community service, compassion towards one another, and truth. These Orders help the youth of today grow to become better members of society.

I look forward to seeing everyone in the lodge and at our future events this year.

Sincerely and Fraternally,
John Ehrlich Kiley

May the Blessing of Heaven rest upon us and all regular Masons. May brotherly love prevail, and every moral and social virtue cement us.

From the WEST

Brethren,

“Light “, the response we give when asked what do we seek. Light represents knowledge and as your senior warden I encourage each and everyone to commit in the pursuit of this light. Each one can begin by reading and reviewing those materials which we received after every degree that each one has gone through and understanding the meaning of its texts. I also encourage every MM specially the newly raised MM to memorize a charge or two and take a part in our rituals. Memorization coupled with understanding the contents of what we read and memorize becomes masonic wisdom which eventually will benefit each one through his masonic journey.

In the learning center of the Education page of the iMember 2.0 lies troves of valuable and useful information. Let us take a little time out from our busy schedules and give ourselves the opportunity to read and learn from these materials.

The 1st of March finds us dwelling together in unity in the initiation of Mr. Rodjade Penaverde. Let us give him a memorable degree. Your presence is much appreciated.

Fraternally,
Bro. Anthony Wesley Baguiwet
Senior Warden

From the SOUTH

Paul Henry Kiley

Brethren,

For this month’s conferral, actions speak more than words to our four knockers Mr. RJ Penaverde, Mr. Warren Abad, Mr. Pedro Dao Jr. and Mr. Jerry Mangawa who along with the candidates cooked the meal and manned the kitchen and ensured our brethren and guests were fed well.

This Stated meeting hats off to our knockers Mr. RJ Penaverde and Mr. Warren Abad for preparing our dinner.

The Stewards are the backbone of the South and will keep the South ready. So, on the night of our Inspectors Audit and 1st Degree practice they stepped up and prepped Chicken adobo and rice, pizza was also served and along with Warren Abad who manned the kitchen.

Also, our very own Senior Warden shared a dish once served when he attended the Manlalakbay ng Gurong Mason (MGM) called
“Sinigang na Lechon”, an original Filipino dish you seldom experience. Thank you, Brother Senior Warden.

Lastly, It has come to my attention that with our budget, I highly encourage that a collective effort of loose change be made with our brethren when attending meetings to assist our next meals to come, but if there are any brethren that would like to share their special dish during meetings, please do so and inform our stewards or myself as early as possible so we can wisely budget our meals.

South side, Always Ready!!

Fraternally,
Paul Henry L. Kiley
Junior Warden

From the SECRETARY’S DESK

Eric Calixto

Greetings from the Secretary’s Desk.

I would like congratulate Bro’s Jerry Malona and Perry Yodong for their advancement to the 2nd Degree of Masonry.

I would also like to commend the Audit Committee ( 2023 appointed committee ) for their timely conduct of the audit of our Lodge and Hall Financial Transactions. This is the 1 st time that we submitted the financial reports on time both for the Lodge and the Hall Association. The financial audit for the Lodge was conducted in conjunction with the Minutes of Meeting where disbursements were discussed and approved. The Audit committee found no errors or omissions and that the financial records are in due order and accurately represents the financial position of Chino Valley Masonic Lodge 427. The review of our books and records both for the Lodge and the Hall Association was done by our Inspector.

I would like to inform the brethren that for an EAM to advance to the FC Degree he must take both the
oral and written proficiencies. The same with the FCM that in order to advance to MM Degree, he must
take both oral and written proficiencies. And for a MM to be given a Proficiency Card, he must take both the oral and written proficiencies. Written proficiencies can be taken on-line through imember 2.0. For the oral part of our proficiencies, the candidate must return in the long form proficiency. Coaches and mentors will be assigned each candidate. This will enhance our proficiencies for both the candidate and their coaches/mentors.

Upcoming events:
1 st Degree Conferral on March 1, 2023 for Rodjade D Penaverde. Dinner will be served at 6:30PM.
Conferral starts at 7:30PMStated meeting will be on March 10, 2023.

Grand Lodge Communications:
I enjoin everyone to go in imember 2.0 and read the 2022 Fraternity Report of our Grand Master Randall L Brill. This is very informative, and we learn a lot from the report aside from being informed. Show support also our Masonic Youth Orders the Demolay, International Order of the Rainbow and Jobs Daughter’s, for the Youth are the future leaders of the Nation.

Fraternally,
Eric G Calixto, PM
Secretary
