Fraternal Greetings from the East.

Brethren of Chino Valley Lodge #427,

As my year ends, and this being my final article as Worshipful Master of Chino Valley Lodge No. 427. Everyone understands that the time of the lodge Master is fleeting, it seems that I am now just figuring out where to steer my Battalion. The one thing I’ve learned that it does not matter whether you steer portside, or starboard side. What matters the most is the crew you steer it with. My crew this year was the best anyone could possibly ask for. The Lodge Officers of this year is what made this masonic term a great success.

First, I would like to take a few moments to Thank each and every Brethren of Chino Valley Lodge No. 427 support throughout the year.

Secondly, I want to express my sincerest congratulations to Worshipful Master-Elect Anthony Wesley Baguiwet, Bro. Senior Warden-Elect, Paul Henry Kiley and Brother Junior Warden-Elect, Bro. Voltaire Taguiba. They are the Pillar Officers elected by the Lodge at our November Stated Meeting. Additionally, Bro. Secretary, Eric Calixto, (PM) and Bro. Treasurer, Ross Reyes was also elected to continue in their current offices. We have a slate of Brethren appointed to fill the various officer chairs for the ensuing Masonic year 2024. The full list of appointed officers will be detailed in Worshipful Master-Elect Anthony Wesley Baguiwet’s article. Please join me in congratulating them, wishing them well during the ensuing Masonic Year.

I will also take this opportunity to Thank All of my Committee Chairmans, and members of each committee. You all had successfully executed your duties above and beyond expectations. Lastly to the Brethren of CVML #427 for your support in all of our events, activities, ceremonies, conferrals, and so on during the entire year. Your assistance with every detail, meeting, and degrees was well appreciated and helped me to get things done.

Because of every Brethren efforts, we were successful to all our of our fundraising events this year. We also successfully accomplished (3) of our planned Lodge Charity events and donated portions of the proceeds to our District 806th  (DeMolays, and Jobs Daughters) Masonic Youth Orders, and to Chino Valley School District.

This year has flown by and there is still so much to be done. Thankfully, there are those who will be leading this lodge and are fully capable to get the job done. We now leave it in the capable hands of those who follow us. They are well attuned to the priorities, needs, and workings of the lodge and will surely devote their efforts to the wellness and betterment of Chino Valley Lodge No. 427. I am truly humbled by your confidence in your ability and desire to serve the Brethren of Chino Valley Lodge No. 427. Look to the bee-hive for your inspiration and to each other for support.

Wishing Everyone peace, joy, and unconditional love this Christmas and always, and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

Fraternally,

John Ehrlich Kiley

CVML #427, WM

Greetings Brethren,

My journey as Junior Warden of Chino Valley Lodge 427 for the year 2023 is coming to an end and it has been a great experience to have work with brothers to achieve a common goal.  I thank you all to those who have sacrificed their time and energy to support the brotherhood.  I highly encourage brethren to challenge themselves and take advantage of opportunities CVML 427 has to offer. There are born leaders and leaders that can be trained, and this place gives us favorable circumstances to make us better men. The best place to learn with brothers to help you out, build your character and step out to the world and make bold moves to change the world for the better.

Paul Henry L. Kiley

FROM THE SECRETARY’S DESK

This just past Masonic Year has been very fruitful for our Lodge. We witnessed well-rounded activities from our stated meetings, degree conferrals, community and civic affairs and other activities. Kudos to the splendid management by our Worshipful Master John Erhlich Kiley ably supported and assisted by his set of officers and of course the support of the Brethren. This year, the Lodge stood on its own, be it financial, conferrals, community affairs and other benevolent activities. Financially, the Lodge was able to pay its obligations without the usual fund augmentation from our investment funds. Sacrifices were however prevalent especially in the retreats where the officers have to forego their attendance and have tutorials instead, The undersigned also reduced his allowance to defray only the expenses for the supplies needed. Expenses were minimized and our refreshments were all blessings from the Brethren. If you noticed in all our Bills for payment agenda is the Rent and Secretary’s allowance only.  The Officers and members leveled up during conferrals and are also trained accordingly. Past Masters are always ready to give insights, assist in proficiencies and ritual movements. We have conducted community and civic affairs funded from our fund-raising activities and of course our volunteerism played a great role. We congratulate Worshipful Master John Erhlich Kiley as we conclude the year and start a new Masonic year with new leadership. Let us continue to give our full support to the incoming set of officers headed by Worshipful Master-Elect Wesley Anthony Baguiwet. We continue to pray that GAOTU bless our Lodge and guide each and everyone of us in all our endeavors.

 Think about this:

It was insinuated by the Temple Board that the rent will be increased to more than $2,000. With the intended increase, our Investment Funds will only be good for two to three years, thus we have to make action now that we still have logistics to use. Although it pains many of us, it may be inevitable that we part with our Building. We cannot maintain our Building, with our present financial status and the return on our Investment is just a miniscule amount.
