FROM THE SOUTH

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you Brethren who participated in the recent Hunyo de Ocho Taco Fest. The event was a great success, allowing us to meet our goals. Thanks to your efforts, the HOPE Program of Chino, which we continually support, will receive the targeted funds. This achievement means that we have brought happiness to many children once again.
Our kitchen is now almost ready for use. Special thanks go to Bro. Michael Miller, who did an outstanding job making the stoves look brand new and installing new lighting, which has made the kitchen perfect for cooking our favorite meals. Thank you too for donating some disposable plates to be used in our meetings. Your good actions often go unnoticed. May they inspire our brethren even more.
The Entered Apprentices and Fellow Crafts ensures that every area of the kitchen receives regular attention. This diligent approach ensures cleanliness whenever we use the kitchen.A strong sense of teamwork and mutual accountability is fostered among them. Each one of them understands their role in maintaining the kitchen and is motivated to perform their tasks diligently. This marks a significant beginning in your Masonic journey. Reflecting on my own experience, a Past Master once shared with me some advice that resonates deeply: “The real work in Masonry is not in the kitchen…” So, continue your efforts, as many have done before you. You will reap the fruits of your labor personally in due time, but as I have said before, it all begins in the kitchen. Maintaining a clean kitchen is more than just a practical necessity; it reflects our spiritual and cultural values. Cleanliness is a form of respect for our communal space and for each other. I urge everyone to clean as they go whenever using the kitchen. Thank you.
A big thank you also goes to Bro. SW Paul Henry Kiley, who generously donated his $450 warden registration fee to the JW Fund, declined reimbursement. Your generosity, Bro. Paul, is deeply appreciated, and may your example inspire others in the lodge.
We are now halfway through our Masonic year, and I couldn’t be prouder of my brothers. Your vibrant participation in all our activities, especially the EAs and FCs who consistently support the South and the Lodge as a whole, is commendable. May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to bless you and your families abundantly.
Your Junior Warden;
Voltaire Laurence C. Taguiba
